Support for Thurai Arasu Gopal’s Family

It is with deep sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of Thurai Arasu Gopal, a beloved husband, brother, son, and friend. Thurai, a vibrant and compassionate young man in his mid 30s, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning (June 29 2025) , leaving behind his 1 month old son (Virupaksha Arasu), and his grieving wife, Shreeja Hiranyagowdanahalli Nagarajappa.

Thurai was the epitome of kindness and grace. He was known for his bright smile, friendly demeanor, and willingness to go out of his way to help his family and friends. He was working in Pleasanton, California from 2015 before he moved to Surrey, Canada in 2020. His dream was to see his kid grow into a successful individual and also continuing to support his family back in India, and his unwavering dedication to their future remains an inspiration to all who knew him.

Unfortunately, Thurai was admitted due to a brain disease while his wife was in labor for the birth of their child on May 25th 2025. He underwent two separate surgeries as his son was born. On June 29th, 2025, Thurai passed away. This sudden and devastating loss has left the family in an unimaginable situation.

How Can We Help:

We are raising $150,000 to provide financial relief for this young family and to honour Thurai's legacy:

Support for the Children: Funds will go towards Shreeja with supporting Virupaksha so he can blossom into a bright individual.

Repatriation of Mortal Remains: Assistance is needed to take Thurai’s mortal remains back to India, where his parents and extended family can say their final goodbyes.

Immediate Relief for Shreeja: As a single parent, Shreeja faces immense challenges. Your contributions will help her manage the immediate and long-term needs of raising her young infant alone.
