A wonderful farm family in our community has suffered a devastating loss. Thueme Hog Farm of Casco Twp. lost their barns to a fire this morning. I have personally known the family my whole life and they are wonderful people. They are greatly involved with the 4-H family raising hogs for 4-H members to show. They are very involved with the 4-H fair in Goodells every year as volunteers.

Luckily nobody was injured but the fire did claim the lives of some of their hogs. Many were saved but not all. The barns are a total loss and now they have a long road ahead of cleanup and rebuild. They have other hogs on the farm that will still need care and some have been taken to other farms to be taken care of. It’s going to take a lot of work to get them back up and operating so if we as a community can give them a hand in any way, it would be greatly appreciated! Please help give this wonderful family some love and support in this tough time!
