I am reaching out to ask for support for my dear friend, Sydney Metrick, during this difficult time.

Sydney’s partner, Thomas Banks, known to many as “Tommy” was a singer and songwriter who became a well-known and loved member of the Lakeside (Ajijic/Chapala), Mexico community. He was deeply appreciated for his voice and performances, both locally and in the Bay Area of California. Through his bands, Thommy Banks and the Soul Investors and Soul Power, he shared his love of music with many people. He was also a talented artist and builder.

Thomas passed away after a long struggle with dementia. His decline was difficult, and his final years brought many challenges. Sydney believed his cremation services had been prepaid, but recently learned they were not. The unexpected cremation costs, along with assisted living and medication expenses, have created a financial burden she cannot manage alone.

Living on a fixed income, Sydney is unable to cover these expenses by herself. Funds raised will help pay for assisted living, medication, and cremation costs, allowing her to honor Thomas with dignity.
