My name is Lyndal Blewer and I have created this fund to help support my best friend and her young family through an extremely hard time... I hope you will too.
Meet Thomas Marc Peat. First born son to Jess and Daniel Peat just five months ago. Thomas is a beautiful baby boy who can light up a room with his smile. He is perfect.
Yesterday this perfect little family received heart breaking news. Their baby boy has tumors along his optical nerves and parts of his brain.
Thomas will be need surgery for a biopsy of his brain tissue and then on to a long 15 months of chemotherapy. There may be further surgery, though at this point, we don't know when. Whilst Thomas is in Sydney Children's Hospital, Jess and Daniel are by his side. This means staying in a hospital that is three hours drive away from home. It also means no work - no income.
Thomas is only 5 months old. Jess and Daniel had their beautiful wedding last month and moved into their new home that Daniel has spent over a year working on, as well as working his day job. This family are just starting out.
I am hoping that as a community we can raise funds to assist the Peat family with any medical bills, accomodation bills whilst they need to be closer to the hospital, and hopefully money to assist with mortgage payments.
