In September 2020, Thelma was diagnosed with an extensive meningioma brain tumor. Thelma is married to Gary, a mother of 3 children, and grandmother to 8 grandchildren. In addition, the Hawaii medical team recommended Thelma get her treatment at UCSF San Francisco due to the complexity of the tumor. On December 2, 2021, Thelma had her brain surgery at USCF, and unfortunately, she ran into major complications, and an ICU stay of over two months. In addition, she had a tracheostomy, multiples surgeries, and was recently decannulated in March of 2021. Miraculously Thelma finally came home on April 22, 2021. Also, due to the five months of continued hospitalization and rehabilitation. This fundraiser is to help Thelma pay for her out-of-pocket medical expenses. In addition, please continue to pray for Thelma as she continues her medical treatment here in Hawaii.
