Kent Wood was a warm, positive, and lighthearted person—a husband to Emmi and father of twin sons, Taiga and Kuga. He cared deeply for his family and friends, and he had a love for music, camping, and the simple joys of being with those he cared for.
Tragically, Kent died of hypothermia after being caught out in the elements when the weather became bad during a hiking trip. As the sole breadwinner, his sudden passing has left his family in shock, and his wife Emmi is now facing the difficult task of caring for their household and finances on her own. Their two sons, Taiga and Kuga, are in college and still live at home, making this transition even more challenging.
The funds raised will help cover urgent expenses, including a set of tires and repairs for the family car, COBRA health insurance, car insurance, utilities, and the preparation and cremation of Kent's body. The Wood family is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support they have already received, and any contribution to this fundraiser, no matter the size, would mean a great deal during this difficult time.
