​​Our Barefoot "Nugget"

​On April 29, 2026, our family’s world changed forever when we said goodbye to the most perfect little person, Edgar Whiting. Known to those who loved him as Eddie, Edlet, or simply "Nugget," he was a vibrant, free-spirited boy who lived life on his own terms.

​Whether he was refusing to put on shoes or running around happily without a care in the world, Eddie’s pure, unfiltered joy was a gift to everyone who knew him. He was the heart of his family, and his absence leaves a void that words cannot describe.

​Why We Are Raising Funds

​As Carl (Da-da) and Jisteen (Ma-ma) navigate this unimaginable heartbreak, we want to surround them with as much peace and stability as possible. The goal of this fundraiser is to take the financial weight off their shoulders so they can focus entirely on what matters most: healing together and being present for their three children, Briar, Francesca, and Daxter.

​The funds raised will go directly to Carl and Jisteen to cover:

​Monthly bills and household expenses so they can stay home from work.

​Groceries and daily necessities for the kids.

​Funeral and memorial costs as they prepare to celebrate Eddie's life on May 9th.
