First of all, thank you all for all of the help that you have provided. We wanted to provide you with an update on Jodi’s condition since her page was initially established. We initially did not post what Jodi’s prognosis was as she was not made aware of it prior to now. At her parents wishes they did not think that it would serve a purpose and they did not want her to find out by reading her Facebook. Jodi knew that she had a brain tumor and that she was receiving treatments for it as she had in the past with her 3 previous brain tumors around 20 years ago. What she was not told was that this tumor was a Glioblastoma that was located on her brain stem and that it was incurable. It has been determined by the specialists treating Jodi that the treatments have not slowed the growth of her brain tumor and the almost impossible decision has been made to stop the treatments. Jodi’s parents have made arrangements with a local hospice for their assistance in trying to keep Jodi comfortable. She currently spends her days asleep in bed. During the few times that she is awake she is mostly unable to speak and is unable to get out of bed or stand. Her care has become constant for her parents as her insurance does not cover daily in-home health care. Jodi’s parents appreciate all of the donations and well wishes from all of you and ask for your continued prayers for Jodi.
