Support for the Warrens: Emma’s Heart Transplant Journey

On behalf of Lauren and myself, we humbly ask for help during this difficult time. Our youngest daughter, Emma, was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy at about 2 years old, the same disease her older brother, Wyatt, passed away from 4 years ago.

It has been extremely aggressive, and we knew from the start it was a when, not if, she would need a heart transplant. The past three months, her heart has gone from a few years out from transplant to now being put on the transplant list ASAP.

Starting Monday 8/11, she will require 24/7 hospitalization. Unfortunately, on top of her heart disease, her kidneys are now beginning to fail.

She has battled her whole life with this disease, and we want to be sure we give our devoted attention to making sure she’s comfortable and has mom or dad with her at all times.

Given the shock to our schedules and time away, as well as finding time for the older 3’s schedule and Alex’s reduced work, we ask for financial support to help us during her approximately 6-12 months to find a heart, as well as help with constant medical bills associated with 24/7 care and medication.

A heart transplant is estimated to cost $39,500 after insurance with additional immunotherapy expenses afterwards.
