Hi! My name is Krista. I manage a colony at a local college near me.

Today, we found an injured boy, seems to be about 10 months old. He was hit by a car, assuming his pelvis is crushed. It’s an older injury, but he’s in a lot of pain. He was neutered today and combo tested, which showed that he is also FIV+ and had a faint FELV+ as well. (The vet said to retest in 6 months; he may have a chance to fight off the FELV.) This, though, makes him extremely immunocompromised.

He just went to a low-cost spay and neuter clinic, so they didn’t have x-rays or all the things he may need, so that’s for another visit. There is a very good chance he will need his leg removed. I’m trying to raise money for his current bills and upcoming bills. He will need x-rays, possible amputation, more vaccines, and a retest.
