On January 14, 2026, the Oxford community lost a beloved friend and neighbor, Ty Mitchell. Ty dedicated 26 years of his life to PrairieLand Partners John Deere, where he built lasting relationships with co-workers and customers alike. His kindness, work ethic, and sense of humor touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Ty’s battle with cancer and his sudden passing have left a deep void in the lives of his family, friends, and the many people he served over the years.
Ty leaves behind his wife, Kim, who now faces the difficult journey of moving forward without him. As she navigates this challenging time, Kim will need support to help cover bills, living expenses, funeral costs for Ty, and medical bills from his cancer treatment. The financial burden can be overwhelming, and every bit of help will make a meaningful difference as she adjusts to life without her partner.
We invite Ty’s co-workers, longtime customers, and anyone who knew the Mitchell family to come together and show their support. Your generosity will help ease the financial stress for Kim and allow her to focus on healing and remembering Ty’s incredible legacy. Thank you for any support you can offer during this difficult time.
