Hey Y’all! This fundraiser is dedicated to my cousin Dustin Trout who recently left this earth way too early! The purpose is to support his two lovely children and his wife whom he has left behind.
Dustin was born on October 28, 1986, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Pat and Marilyn Trout. He attended Edison High School and graduated in 2005 before continuing his education at Oklahoma State University, where he earned a degree in Marketing. Dustin worked as a Financial Analyst for Verizon Communications for nine years. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and the deep love he had for his family. Dustin especially cherished time spent with his wife and children, whether it was enjoying the outdoors, watching OSU sports, or simply being together. Fishing was one of his favorite ways to relax, and he valued the quiet moments it brought. Those who knew Dustin will remember his loyalty to the people he loved and the pride he took in being a husband, father, and son. Dustin is survived by his loving wife, Brandy Toombs Trout of Collinsville, Oklahoma; his children, Grady and Collins, who were the center of his world; his mother, Marilyn Trout of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sisters, Trisha Trout and Melissa Trout-Kirkpatrick; his in-laws, Doug and Justina Toombs of Hooker, Oklahoma; and his sister-in-law, Amy Wilks. He was preceded in death by his father, Pat Trout. Dustin’s life was a reminder that the greatest legacy we leave is the love we give to others. Though he is gone too soon, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
A few years ago, Dustin began experiencing serious health issues and was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, though not all of his doctors agreed on this diagnosis. He spent much of his time in and out of the hospital, facing multiple complications from liver and kidney failure. Despite his strength and determination, he tragically passed away before reaching his 40s. I truly believe he never received the consistent care he needed, and it’s heartbreaking that someone so young and full of life was taken from his family far too soon.
His wife and children are now facing a future without their main support system. As a community, we want to do everything possible to help his kids as they grow up without their father. The funds raised through this campaign will be given to his son and daughter to support their future after losing their father. While money can never replace the love and guidance of a father, every donation will help these children navigate life after such a tragic loss.
If you’re able, please consider donating to support my cousin’s family. Your generosity will make a lasting difference in the lives of his children, and we are deeply grateful for any help you can provide during this incredibly difficult time.
