On Sunday, August 16th, The Trout family was impacted by a sudden emergency that has upended their worlds.

While sitting in his truck in NE Portland, Sam was shot by a drive-by shooter.  The shooting shattered his left arm and shoulder.  Police have stated that this was a completely random incident.

Sam has already had surgery to fix his injuries, but will understandably be in the hospital for a while.

Since Sam will be out of work while he recovers, friends have set up this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden on the family.  All money raised will be used to offset medical costs and contribute to living expenses as Sam recovers from this horrible event.
