Support for the Tickle’s

My best friend’s parents were in a tragic car accident this week and have been in the ICU for several days. Things are still touch and go for them and they need all of the positive thoughts, words, prayers, and any financial support thatyou can send.

Shawn and Dana Tickle are dedicated parents and hardworking Virginia public school teachers. They have been teaching for many years at the Middle and High School levels. Shawn teaches English and Dana teaches Theater. They have dedicated their lives to public service. 

Shawn and Dana have one child, Sylvia, who I had the greatest honor of befriending in college. Sylvia has become a public school teacher just like her parents - demonstrating the amazing values and principles that they instilled in her. Sylvia has been by her parent’s side since thenight of the accident and continues to be a rock for them. 

As we all know 2020 has been a truly terrible year, but it has shown how much people come together to love and support each other in times of strife and heartbreak. Please consider donating to help the Tickle family.
