Support the sudden loss of Jack (Rabid)

I met Jack online, or Rabid to most of his gaming friends, early in 2019, as we had mutual friends who did streams on Twitch. I'd see him in chat here and there, respond to his one-liner jokes every now and again, and move on. That summer a friend of mine started a Minecraft server, which Rabid also joined. We built our houses across a lake from one another and became fast friends. He was sweet, funny, generous, and above all, very very kind. He was quiet, so I did most of the talking at first, but that didn't last long, and we'd talk or text for hours into the early morning. I quickly fell for this goofy dude, and by the end of that year, we knew we were meant for one another. Encouraged by his daughter, he proposed to me on Valentine's Day of 2020. By October, we were married, and in January of the next year, we were in a new state with new jobs and a new life. To say our relationship was a whirlwind is an understatement, but it has been the greatest 6 years of my life. I have never been happier.

We lost Jack on Feb 1 of this year. He had been sick, but I was completely blindsided by his death. We were supposed to be together forever, laughing and playing through life until we were old and grey. I am heartbroken beyond belief, but through faith I know he is at peace, and that brings me great comfort.

The loss of a loved one, especially unexpected, is a cold, harsh, expensive reality.
