We are heartbroken to share the passing of Nancy Smithson, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Grandmother was her favorite title. She was the heart of her family and loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world. She leaves behind her husband, Smitty of 31 years, their only son, Jordan, his wife Carrie and their two children, Layke and River who loved their grandma so very much and can feel this immense loss.

Nancy was the one who held everything together. She paid every bill, managed the household, and made sure her family was always cared for. She was extremely selfless and put others before her in every aspect of her life. Her sudden passing has left not only an emotional void, but also a financial one. We are asking for support to help cover her cremation services and other expenses caused by her loss, including travel from NC to NJ to bring her ashes home to her family there. The family would also love to have proper celebration of life ceremonies with her friends and family both in NC and NJ to honor her life with those who loved her. Your support will also help her husband as he navigates life without the woman who guided and supported him for so many years.
