On April 23, 2026 around 7:30pm, Tony Smith unexpectedly passed away peacefully at home. Tony was born with a rare muscle disease called Centro-Nuclear Myopathy. When he was born, doctors said it would be a miracle if he lived a year. Tony proved them wrong time and time again for 39 years. Tony was an avid Detroit sports fan, had the biggest heart, and an incredible memory. He always remained positive despite all of his challenges. Because of his condition, a life insurance policy was unattainable.
Tony had an amazing support system including his parents Kathy & Rodger, and his brother Randy who were his full time care takers. The Smith family would lend a helping hand to anyone and they are more than deserving of support during this extremely difficult time. I am starting this fundraiser to help not only cover the funeral costs but to help support their family as they lay Tony to rest.
