Hi, my name is Son I am the sister-in-law of Caz and Matt. On 2 February 2023 during the early hours of the morning, Matt suffered multiple severe seizures which required him to be placed into a medically induced coma. Scans revealed a frontal lobe tumour. The initial plan was to bring Matt out of the medically induced coma to make him aware of the situation but as the hours went by Matt continually experienced varying types of seizures. The decision was made to operate and remove the tumour to stop the seizures and assess the type of tumour it is. As you can imagine the family are in shock as Matt has never had any serious medical problems nor shown any signs or symptoms of illness.

Many of you have asked how or what you can do to help the Skinner family and your kindness has been overwhelming for Caz. Natalie Sherwill (Caz's close work colleague) and I are asking if anyone would like to donate towards helping the family with everyday needs. The money will be for them and spent on but not limited to groceries, cleaning services, gardening services, general help and the odd cheeky uber eats delivery (we all know how much Matt loves that!).

Nat and I are sharing this fundraiser with select RACGP employees as Caz isn't ready for the wider organisation to know. We are here to answer any of your questions and encourage you to use this platform to send your love and support messages.

Matt will be starting radiation and chemotherapy treatment in early March and your ongoing support would mean the world to them.
