We’re reaching out during an incredibly difficult time for our family. On March 10th, our mom, Susan Sherwood, experienced a series of life-threatening medical events—including multiple strokes, seizures, and a medically induced coma that lasted more than 20 days. These events significantly affected her ability to speak, move, and breathe on her own. Since then, she has been receiving full-time intensive care, therapy, and ongoing medical treatment as she works toward recovery.

Just as we were beginning to adjust to this new reality, our family suffered another devastating loss. On April 29th, our dad, and her husband of 30+ years Ken Sherwood, passed away suddenly from a heart attack while getting ready to visit Susan. He had been her devoted caregiver and strongest supporter throughout this journey. His passing has left an unimaginable void in our lives.

Ken's presence could light up a room. He was kind, selfless, and had unwavering faith. He showed up for our mom, for his colleagues, and for everyone who needed him. His absence is deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
