Message from Jason Schwan, Kelsos’ dad
On Friday, November 15th our wonderful, happy and loving boy Kelso was injured in an accident in our home. He pulled down a pot of boiling water on himself as he fell off of a stool. He suffered many second-degree burns mostly below the belt. He also said suffered third-degree burns on most of the front of his right leg and some of his abdomen. This means he has gone through surgery to attach skin grafting from his inner right side to these areas. The surgery was on Thursday, November 21st. We can only be thankful that he has the best care at Loyola University Medical Center and hope the surgeries are fully successful. We must move forward from here and be happy our boy is with us and will heal. It breaks our hearts and hurts our souls that he will have some permanent changes and a long road to recovery. Although most problems in our lives we wish to keep private about and handle on own, this one we are realizing is too much to handle by ourselves. Help and support will help us to surmount this difficult recovery and be able to spend as much time as possible together as a family or at least split up to have some quality time with Kelso and his twin brother Seinn. Thank you everyone in our lives for your wonderful love and support!
