Many of you know Lou Schultzkie—a hardworking, dependable mechanic at Chase Enterprises since 2019, and someone his team has come to count on every single day. What many may not know is that Lou and his family are now facing one of the hardest challenges of their lives. Lou’s wife, Amy, was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and is currently in the hospital receiving treatment. This news has turned their world upside down. The emotional and physical toll has been overwhelming for everyone who loves her. Still, Amy is fighting with incredible strength and grace, and Lou is doing everything he can to stay strong for her and for their boys, who are trying their best to hold on while their mom battles this illness.

Over the past couple of weeks, several generous coworkers have stepped forward to donate their time so Lou could maintain a 40‑hour paycheck while staying by Amy’s side. This kindness has meant more to their family than words can express, and they are deeply grateful for the compassion shown by their work community. But even with this support, the financial burden is growing heavier. With Amy unable to work during treatment, their family has lost half of their income. Medical expenses, everyday bills, parking fees at the hospital, gas for constant travel, and the needs of their boys—all of it has added up to a weight no family should have to bear alone.
