The Roberts Family has always been known for their kindness and humility, but now they are facing a challenge that no one should have to endure alone. In August of 2024, Patrick received a diagnosis that changed everything: he had cancer, and it was everywhere. The cancer had no known origin, which made it impossible to fully treat. Despite the odds, Patrick fought bravely, trying multiple treatments. For a time, chemo worked, and he was able to enjoy precious moments with his family and friends.

This fall, however, the chemo stopped working and the cancer began to spread rapidly—to his brain, bones, and now his spinal fluid. The family is now having difficult discussions about palliative care for Patrick, focusing on comfort and quality of life. To make matters worse, Patrick was laid off this fall. While Tara is doing her best to manage with her job, the medical bills and deductibles are overwhelming and will continue to roll in for 2026.
