In 2018, Vince received the devastating news of a rare ocular melanoma cancer diagnosis. He underwent radiation, eye enucleation and a yearlong chemotherapy trial in the hopes to ward off metastasis. Throughout the following three years, he and Ali did their best to remain positive and optimistic fulfilling their greatest wish of becoming parents to Siana in 2019 and receiving the joyous news they were expecting another baby girl in March 2021.
Only five months later, in August 2021, they received the devastating news that Vince’s cancer had metastasized to his liver giving him a stage IV, incurable diagnosis. Vince immediately began immunotherapy treatments and three months later they welcomed their second baby girl, Mari.
Over the last two years the cancer continued to progress and Vince has undergone multiple treatments of immunotherapy, radiation, chemotherapy and others. Their family has traveled all over the country seeking treatments and fighting for Vince to live. They even spent weeks at a time moving their family from Boston to Tampa, Florida so Vince could receive a specialized treatment.
Over the past few months the cancer has become very aggressive and spread throughout Vince’s body. Last week, Vince was admitted to the hospital and they have received the absolutely devastating news that he has only days to weeks left with us. Vince is now home and fighting to spend one last holiday with his beautiful family.
We want to help alleviate some of the financial burden to allow Vince, Ali and the girls the ability to focus on making memories as a family. Whether it’s a monetary donation or extra prayers for this beautiful family, we are asking for anything you may feel comfortable with to support the Rinaldis in any way you can during this unimaginable time.
