Asking for help can be a hard thing to do, but the truth is we all need a little sometimes. I’m asking for your help, prayers and support for my son in law, Jim.
When you hear of a disease being called a silent killer this is a classic case. Leaving this disease undiagnosed many years, Jim is now critically ill with stage 4 liver cirrhosis. A result of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, Jim is dealing with a serious illness that has many severe and debilitating side affects. Neuropathy which is causing him extreme pain in his hands and feet, hepatic encephalopathy which causes Jim to have bouts of confusion and a daily battle to keep food and fluids down. Jim has been referred to Stanford where he will under go extensive testing for a liver transplant. He has a very long road ahead of him. We can only image how devastating and scary this diagnoses is to him, his wife Tera and daughter Isabella, who is only 10 years old.
Let me share a little about Jim with you. Jim is a wonderful husband and father, loves to talk sports, the type of person who never meets a stranger and has a great sense of humor. He has dedicated most of his career working with at risk youth. Anywhere from probation to his last job as a intervention specialist. Jim thrives in the field of helping kids and young adults.
We are mobilizing to help support the Reynosa family with the vast burden of expenses. Medications, treatments, medical bills and travel expenses (some of his Doctors are hours away). The last thing this family needs is to add financial stress and worry to the long battle they face.
Jim and Tera are an amazing couple and have been the ones to help others in many ways, now they need us. Any size donation is helpful and will be greatly appreciated. Please keep them in your prayers.
