In Memory of Michael Rangel
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Michael (Mike) J Rangel.
Mike passed away peacefully on April 20, 2021, after a month-long battle of fighting complications related to COVID-19. Mike was 38 years old and has left behind his wife, Liz, and their 3 children: Daisy, Jesse, and Mia. Mike is also survived by his mother, Irene, his sister, Marty, and his brother, Mark, as well as all of his close-knit extended family.
Mike lived an amazing life. He really did. Mike loved being a family man, first and foremost. He loved spending time with his wife and kids and always put them first. He was Jesse's biggest fan at his football games and enjoyed taking Mia to her horseback riding lessons. He loved Daisy's company as she made plans for post-high school. And when Mike wasn't spending time with his kids, he made time for his family and friends.
As cliché as this sounds, Mike was always the life of the party. He was always your hype man. Mike's personality was very loud, energetic, and outgoing - and he made you feel welcomed. Among his friends, he was family. And if he said you were family, you were invited to all of the family celebrations, UFC/boxing watch parties, and holiday gatherings with homemade menudo and tacos. Mike loved his life and was always down for an adventure.
Many of you have already reached out and asked how you could help the family at this time. Know that your kindness is much appreciated as the family navigates through this unexpected tragedy. This memorial fund has been set up to assist with whatever the family may need. We ask, if you are able to, to donate towards the future of the Rangel family. Whether it's to cover the hefty hospital bills, take care of daily monetary needs, or plan for the children's futures - know that your gift will help Liz alleviate some of the financial burden.
Thank you for supporting the Rangel family during this time. And thank you for being a part of Mike's wonderful life.
To be as transparent as possible: once the donation period ends, the funds will be transferred to Liz from Eric Lexius's (Liz's brother-in=law, Michael's sister's husband) banking account.
