Emilio Quiroga's family has faced unimaginable heartbreak over the past year. Last year, they lost their father and laid him to rest in Bolivia. Just recently, the family traveled back to Bolivia to finalize paperwork and celebrate the first anniversary of his burial, hoping to find some closure and begin healing. Instead, tragedy struck again.
Just a month after returning from Bolivia, Emilio was driving his sister Angela to Hayward after she graduated from Cal State East Bay so she could pick up her belongings and return them home to Van Nuys. Before they made it there, a semi-truck veered into their lane. Emilio tried to avoid the collision, but the car flipped. Emilio was pronounced dead at the scene, and Angela was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. Thankfully, Angela is now out of critical care, but she faces a long road to recovery, and the family is left to cope with another devastating loss.
Now, the Quiroga family is left to foot yet another large bill—facing expenses for Angela's medical care, funeral costs, travel, and the ongoing support they need to heal. Please consider supporting them during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help them manage expenses and focus on healing. Your kindness and generosity mean so much.
