In Loving Memory of Melissa Prince
On the evening of Friday, June 5, our family experienced a tragedy that has left us heartbroken and struggling to process the sudden loss of our beloved Melissa Prince.
Melissa lost her life while enjoying one of her favorite things to do—riding her Razor and spending time outdoors. If you were fortunate enough to know Melissa, then you know she lived life to the fullest. She loved to laugh, have fun, and make sure everyone around her was having a good time as well. Her vibrant personality, contagious energy, and unforgettable spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Melissa is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Jonathan Prince; her daughters, Ashleigh Asbury, Abbie Coram, and Allyson Prince; her son, Peyton Prince; her cherished grandchildren, Alyza Coram and Ariyah Coram; and her parents, Marie Asbury and Bill Asbury.
As our family navigates this unimaginable loss, we are asking for support to help ease the financial burden placed upon Jonathan and the family. Donations will help cover funeral and memorial expenses, allow Jonathan time away from work to grieve and care for his family, assist with the needs of Melissa’s grandchildren, and help ensure that household expenses and bills can continue to be met during this difficult transition.
No donation is expected or required, and we understand that not everyone is able to give financially. However, any contribution, no matter the amount, will be deeply appreciated and will help our family during this heartbreaking time.
Melissa was truly one of a kind. She was someone you could never forget—and, if we’re being honest, someone you could never miss hearing. Her laughter, her voice, her sense of humor, and her larger-than-life personality brought joy to countless people. The world feels a little quieter without her in it.
This loss was sudden, unexpected, and devastating. Our family remains in complete shock as we try to come to terms with a future without her. While we may never understand why she was taken from us so soon, we are grateful for every memory, every laugh, and every moment we were blessed to share with her.
Tonight, if Melissa crosses your mind, crack open a Coors Light or a Michelob Ultra, sit by a fire, share a story, and raise a toast to a beautiful life that was taken far too soon.
Thank you for your love, prayers, support, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
With love,
The Prince, Coram & Asbury Families
