To know Danielle Powell was to love her. She was one of those people others gravitated towards because of her warmth, wit, and humor. She was always there with just the right thing at the right time - a hug, a phone call just because, or a good laugh. Even more impressive is that she was that person to so many. We lost a true gem, but our love for Danielle lives on.

Unfortunately, Danielle was recently diagnosed with a large brain tumor after several months of searching for answers to explain some symptoms she was experiencing. Despite surgical intervention, the size and invasiveness of the tumor led to more complications than even she could overcome.

The loss of Danielle is devastating for all of us, but in particular her family. Her love for them was absolute, and the life she built with Nick and their boys was her greatest accomplishment and joy. Danielle was many things: a self-made successful businesswoman, community leader, great friend, and amazing wife and mother. However, her priority was always focused on her loved ones.

There has been such an overwhelming response to help, and the immediate need to provide meals has been met. However, so many of you are still asking how to help. Because of the continued outpouring of love and generosity for the Powell family, this fundraiser is being started on their behalf to help with the unforeseen financial burdens ahead, such as memorial services, medical expenses, etc.

We should all feel lucky to have been a part of Danielle's too short but spectacular life. She will be missed beyond words.
