On Tuesday, September 22nd, our neighbor and friend, Gary Pinette was hit by a pick up truck while riding his bicycle on Route 101, only a half mile from his home. He has many fractures all over his body, including his face, legs, spine, and ribs. He also is suffering from a brain bleed and punctured lung. He is currently intubated and medically sedated but is stable at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. The doctors are hopeful that he will pull through this, but it will be a long road to recovery.
Gary is a loving family man and a brand new grandfather to his 2 month old grandson, Cal, pictured with him above. He works as a psychotherapist for the VA, supporting veterans through their many challenges, and he does it with so much love and compassion. He’s always giving and helping others, and now it’s our time to help him.
These funds will be used to help his wife, Patrice, and family with traveling and lodging expenses while he is in the hospital and later in rehab for an extended (unknown) period of time, so they can be by his side.
