In times of grief, we all come together to rely on each other to make it through the difficult times. An extremely loving family has lost someone that meant the world to not only them but the Ramseur community as well.
Joshua Parks, son of Seth and Teresa Parks, blessed everyone with his arrival 19 years ago. Joshua brought light to everyone's darkness, no matter who you were. Joshua was born with Hirschsprung's Disease but at no point ever let it slow him down. Joshua would rearrange his furniture in his room once a week to have it the way he wanted it and would help mom clean the house, wash clothes and dishes, refusing to let anyone else help him.
Joshua of course grew up with his older Brother Brandon, Sister Emily and younger sister Makala. Joshua would help his siblings in any way possible and loved them dearly.
Joshua loved and care for everyone in way that was unimaginable, but don't let that fool you because he also had a competitive side, attending the Randolph County Special Olympics and striving to be the best.
It was recently learned that Joshua was also born with a Congenital heart defect. Doctors recommended a needed surgery to give Joshua the best chance of a long healthy life. Joshua's body did not accept the new heart stint, and he succumb to the complications.
The good lord decided that he needed Joshuas huge heart of gold sooner than we were prepared for, but we know Joshua is living his best life upstairs and he would not have traded this life for any other.
Let's all come together, surround this family with love and help them get through this extremely difficult time. The last thing the Parks Family need to worry about is funds, so we ask everyone to donate what they can.
The family will announce soon their plans and arrangements with Joshua. Rest in Peace buddy, you will never be forgotten!
