Support for the Parent Family

Hi, My name is Amy Waldron. I represent the Crimson Pride softball organization in Penfield, NY. I am looking to raise funds in support of the Parent family. Ali Parent is one of my fellow coaches and her daughter, Madden, plays on our 10U team. Ali suddenly and tragically lost her husband in the middle of our team practice this week.  Here is a bit of their family story. 

Jonathan and Ali Parent moved to Walworth 9 years ago from North Carolina and quickly became part of our Penfield community while their children attended Penfield schools.  They and their three children, Riley (12) Madden (9) and Will (6), were thrown for a loop when Jonathan was diagnosed with chondrosarcomas  5 1/2 years ago linked to his service in the United States Army and his time in Iraq.  Jonathan underwent brain surgery and many years of treatment while Ali cared for him full time.  

They moved into Penfield to be closer to school, and their children are actively involved in many activities including Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, t-ball, softball, volleyball and cheer. Jonathan rarely, if ever, missed a chance to cheer them on from the sidelines.  Last night, Jonathan passed away suddenly, leaving behind his wonderful immediate family and all of us, his chosen family. He will be missed dearly.
