Support for the Montalvo Family
Donation protected
Dear Friends + Family -
On Friday, November 19, 2021, Andy Montalvo, husband, father and Telluride resident, suffered a gunshot wound as a victim on a construction jobsite in downtown Telluride, CO while working at a property next to the public school which led to a school lockdown.
While the injuries suffered from the gunshot wound to his pelvic region are non-life-threatening, the severity of the injuries led to a flight for life helicopter ride as well as injuries that are being monitored that still may or may not need surgery in the future.
Andy, his wife Krista, his three daughters, and his family are incredibly grateful for God's protection and sustaining mercy throughout this entire ordeal, and for the support of their family, friends, and community during this time. They are also incredibly thankful for the wisdom of the doctors & medical staff, and to all the first responders.
However, due to the severity of the injuries from the gunshot wound, medical expenses are still ahead as well as time lost at work. It is unknown at this point exactly how long the recovery will take and the implications it will have on Andy's day-to-day life in the future. At the time of this event, Andy was uninsured and the medical bill totals are quickly adding up. Since Andy's job is very labor intensive, he will be unable to perform normal work tasks for an undetermined period of time.
At this time we are humbly asking for help to support Andy, his wife Krista, and their daughters, as they navigate the challenges in the months ahead — from covering ongoing and upcoming medical bills and to support for basic living expenses while Andy is unable to work so he can focus on healing at this time.
We appreciate any and all support whether that be a donation, words of encouragement, or a prayer. This is just the beginning of a long road ahead.
Your love and support mean the world to Us.
