On Thursday, 9th October, our friend and colleague George Monos experienced a sudden and serious decline in his health while working onsite. Thanks to the quick and decisive actions of his colleagues, an ambulance was called immediately, and George was rushed to Northern Hospital.
Scans revealed bleeding on the brain, and George was placed into an induced coma before being transferred to St Vincent’s Hospital. On Friday, 10th October, he underwent surgery, during which doctors discovered three tumours on his brain. George was placed on breathing support, which has thankfully now been removed. He remains in ICU while he regains strength, before being moved to a hospital ward.
George is a devoted husband and father to three beautiful children. He is also a cherished friend and a respected colleague to many of us.
He now faces a long and challenging road to recovery. During this time, George will be unable to work and support his family. We’re reaching out to ask for your support in helping George, his wife Sarah, and their children navigate this incredibly difficult time.
Any donation—no matter the amount—will make a meaningful difference and help ease the financial burden on his family, allowing them to focus fully on his recovery.
Thank you for your support, kindness, and generosity.
