On July 28th, 2022, Kaley and Jeff welcomed their twins, Hazel and Emmett Meyer, into this world. They were born at 26 weeks and three days after a premature rupture of membranes. While we are so grateful to have these newest additions to the Meyer family, their early arrival has meant a required stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Their body systems are not yet fully developed and must have help to grow, breathe, and eat, all while receiving 24-hour monitoring and care from a team of specialized doctors, nurses, and therapists. These specialists will treat them in the hospital until they reach 37 weeks and can complete all their essential functions safely in order to be discharged home. Hazel and Emmett are working hard to breathe on their own but are requiring additional oxygen support via CPAP as well as tube feedings for nutritional support and to assist them in gaining enough weight.

We are looking to help support Kaley and Jeff as they navigate this new season of life. The Meyers will face financial stressors in the form of medical bills, daily hospital parking fees, possible short term rental fees and others. We aim to shower Kaley and Jeff in love, prayer, and any means of support to rally behind the newest Meyer additions!
