My name is Ina, I am good friends with the McLaren family and they are going through a very difficult time and need some support.

On Saturday March 14th, the McLaren family experienced something no one should ever have to face. John, a loving and devoted father had just finished playing a show at a venue in Moncton (music has always been something he loves, and it’s also been an important part of how he supports his family). He was brutally attacked outside of the venue leaving him with severe head injuries, he is currently in the ICU in the hospital. Doctors have told the family that he will likely face weeks in the hospital followed by a long period of rehabilitation.

At home, Britt is caring for their baby boy Dawson, who was born with Down syndrome and requires extra care and attention. She is currently on maternity leave, and John was the primary source of income for their household. To make things even more difficult, Britt does not have a driver’s license and has very limited support nearby and the hospital is just outside of where they live.

We are starting this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial pressure during this incredibly difficult time so she can focus on being there for her husband and caring for their baby.
