On May 21st, Shelby May was a victim of gun violence. Her wounds were life threatening. She had a procedure to take the pressure and fluids off of her brain immediately after arriving at Oschner LSU. The procedure was successful but after many hours of recovery the pressure in her brain started to rise again. After many tests and scans, the doctors have confirmed there is zero brain function. It is with a heavy heart that her family has decided to stop life saving measures and let her pass peacefully. They find comfort in knowing she will no longer be suffering and will be completely healed in the arms of Jesus. Shelby was a very loved mother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend to everyone that knew her.
