As many of you know, our family suddenly and unexpectedly lost my mom, Elizabeth Mattix. During this incredibly difficult time, we are trying to navigate not only the emotional weight of this loss, but also the unexpected financial responsibilities that come with it.

We created this fundraiser to help support the Mattix family with funeral and memorial expenses, as well as the day-to-day life adjustments that follow such a heartbreaking loss. Anyone who knew my mom knew how deeply she loved her family, and our goal is simply to help ease some of the burden while we grieve and begin putting the pieces back together.

Elizabeth was the heart of our family, always putting others first and making sure everyone felt loved and cared for. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but we are doing our best to honor her memory and support each other through this transition. My dad, James, has always been there for us, and now we want to be there for him as he faces these new challenges.
