My family is kindly asking you to consider donating to the Mata Family as they spend their time and energy caring for my aunt and godmother, who is ill. Her husband, who is the main provider, has stopped working for over a year now to ensure the household chores are taken care of, supporting their two amazing children (one who is in college and the other still in high school), making sure my aunt is comfortable, and taking her to doctor visits.

She is battling cancer and fighting each and every day despite the pain she suffers to be with her family and see that each day her kids have some sense of normalcy. My godmother is one of the strongest women I know and one who continues to instill in me the love, hope, and power of God. Her name is Lorena Mata, youngest daughter of the Godinez Family, mother of two, and nurturer of many more; she is cheerful, strong, and courageous.
