Debbie Maddox—known to many as “Momma Maddox” or “Deb”—was a devoted wife to Don and a loving mother to her two children and daughter-in-law. She was also a mentor, teacher, and friend to so many. As a music instructor, Debbie poured into countless students, shaping their talents and confidence. She was an incredibly gifted seamstress and a creative force behind costumes and sets. Backstage, she was known as one of the very best “mic wranglers”—running ropes, managing sound, and bringing order to every production. More importantly, she mentored and trained many, including myself, equipping mic leads and others to serve with skill and confidence.

My name is Jennifer Chidester, and I’ve been asked by many of Debbie’s students and friends how they can help. Debbie was a dear friend who always showed up for others and, through her faith, encouraged those around her. Since her passing, there has been an overwhelming outpouring of love and stories showing just how many lives she impacted.
