Anteneh is a dear friend and an amazing man of God. Anteneh was known for his caring and loving nature, always ready to give a hug or lend a helping hand when no one else would. He had a deep love for worship and a strong faith in Jesus, which touched everyone who knew him.
Tragically, on Friday February 20th, 2026 Anteneh passed away unexpectedly, leaving the Lencho family heartbroken as they grieve this tremendous loss. The family is coming together to honor Anteneh’s memory and celebrate the life he lived with so much love and faith.
During this time, we invite you to join us in praying for the Lencho family, and if you feel led, to offer financial support to help ease their burden. Along with helping the Lencho family with their funeral costs, any additional funds will be donated to the Special Olympics in honor of Anteneh. Anteneh participated in the Special Olympics of Maryland annually until he graduated from high school. His family has vivid memories of attending his track and field meets, cheering him on, celebrating when he won medals and consoling him the few times he received ribbons. The program offers so much to its athletes, and so the family has chosen to give back to something Anteneh and others like him enjoy.
Your prayers, kind words, and presence mean so much as Anteneh's family navigates this season of grief and remembrance. Let us carry the legacy of his name “Anteneh Tesfaye” which means you are my hope. An unwavering truth we cling to in this time is that, despite this sudden loss, God is our hope.”
Psalms 46:1: 'God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.'
Matthew 5:8: 'Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.'
