Just before Christmas Jess and Matt received news that no young family should have to hear. As some may know, Jess has recently received a breast cancer diagnosis. While we are all praying and hoping for the best possible outcome there is no doubt that Jess has a difficult journey ahead. She will undergo surgery for a double mastectomy as quickly as possible, likely mid-January. It still has not been confirmed whether the cancer has spread and what further treatment will be required. This would be hard on anyone, but Jess is also a loving stay at home mom for their two young children - Hailey (4) and Hunter (2 1/2). Matt is the sole provider for the family and he will need to take some time off work to help care for Jess and the kids throughout treatment. We would like to raise money for basic household expenses to alleviate financial stress on the family so that they can focus on Jess' recovery first and foremost. Matt and Jess are not the type to ask for help, but they are always willing to do anything they can to help friends and we must pull together to help this wonderful family during their time of need.
