On Monday, July 13th, our family lost an incredible husband, father, brother, friend, and community member far too soon. Richard Gerard Konstanzer's sudden passing has left a hole in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Richard was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen. He never forgot a name, welcomed everyone with a smile, and had an infectious laugh that could brighten even the hardest day. He was kind, generous, and deeply cared for the people around him. Whether you had known him for years or had just met him, Richard had a way of making you feel like family.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Jenni Konstanzer, and their four sons: Zach, Mathew, Spencer, and Chase Konstanzer, who are now navigating the unimaginable grief of losing a husband and father so unexpectedly. In addition to the overwhelming emotional loss, Richard's passing has created a significant financial burden for his family. We are asking for support to help ease that burden during this difficult time for Jenni. All proceeds will first be used to cover Richard's memorial and cremation expenses. Any remaining funds will help support Jenni's ongoing health and medical care while easing the financial burden on the Konstanzer family as they navigate life without Richard and begin rebuilding in the months ahead.
Any contribution will make a meaningful difference. Please, no flowers. Your presence and support mean the most to our family. If you are unable to give financially, please keep the Konstanzer family in your prayers and share this fundraiser. Your support means more than words can express. Thank you for standing beside our family during one of the most difficult seasons of our lives. We are forever grateful for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
The service for Richard will be Friday, June 24th, 2026 from 1-4pm at Lincoln Inn located at 1345 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia IL 60510. Please dress casual and be ready to tell your funniest Richard story.
