As most of you already know, Jena has been battling Stage 4 triple negative metaplastic breast cancer in her lung since October 2022. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago (while in Texas for a clinical trial) a scan showed that there was a new spot between her lungs near her airway. This was considered progression so she was out of the trial. A few days later, Jena found out that the cancer spread to her brain, which explained the migraines & pressure she was experiencing. Jena has begun a new chemotherapy that is she is receiving every other week now and she will be traveling to Baltimore next week for her Cyberknife treatments at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Over the past two years, Jena has gone through so much. Countless appointments, CT scans, PET scans, MRI’s, procedures, biopsies, surgeries including a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and most recently, the clinical trial at Houston Methodist in Texas. All of these appointments required many car rides, plane rides, and hotel stays.

For anyone who doesn’t know Jena or Gary personally, I can tell you that they are two of the genuine, caring, and selfless people I know. They have 2 beautiful girls who are their whole world. They are always willing to help anyone in need and now they need our help.
