Our hearts are broken.
Kenrik Kabano and his mother, Rosine Kabano, tragically lost their lives in a devastating car accident. This unimaginable loss has left their family and our entire community in deep shock and grief.
Kenrik had just turned 18 on April 15 and was preparing to graduate from Klein Oak High School in May 2026. He was a standout student-athlete and a talented basketball player, previously making his mark at The John Cooper School and continuing his impact this year at Klein Oak. More importantly, Kenrik was known for his character, his kindness, and the genuine way he connected with others. He was deeply loved by teammates, classmates, teachers, and friends across multiple communities.
Rosine was a devoted mother whose love and strength were the foundation of her family. The bond they shared was evident to everyone who knew them.
Kenrik and Rosine are survived by Mike (father), Kelia (sister - High School Freshman), and Kai (brother - 4th grader), who are now facing an unimaginable loss.
We are coming together as a community to support the Kabano family during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will help cover funeral and memorial expenses for Kenrik and Rosine, as well as provide support for the family as they navigate the financial and emotional challenges ahead.
Any contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference. If you are not able to donate, please consider sharing this page to help us reach others who may be able to help.
This fundraiser is organized by a family friend, and all funds will go directly to Mike and the Kabano family.
We are deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support during this time.
