Hello all, I'm Ryan Jones. I am creating this gofundme to help a great family that is in need. I work for The Meat Shoppe of Elkton and have become quite close to the owners Brian and Jamie Jones. We have the same last names, but are not related. Lol.

Last Tuesday (July 2nd), The Meat Shoppe of Elkton was victim to a fire that was accidentally started in a neighbor's office. Every attempt to put the fire out was made, but the fire was just too powerful to put out. Luckily, everyone was able to evacuate the building and nobody was injured. Their business is a total loss.

I have been watching Brian and Jamie all week as they scramble to try to plan for the months to come. They have 2 children, Reese 11 and Brad 9. I know they are trying to move forward from this and not disrupt their children's lives as much as possible.

Just a little bit about the Jones family... these are really great people. I went through a break up about 2 years ago and found myself needing a place to live. They opened up their home to me and I still rent their basement today. I know that before me, several people in need have been able to stay in their home to get back on their feet. During Covid, I watched Brian donate over $25,000 in food to families in need in Cecil County, MD. I helped him deliver some of the food, as did a few others from The Meat Shoppe of Elkton. Every year, I watch Brian and Jamie choose a family for Christmas to donate a tree and gifts. I'm just trying to paint a picture of how giving and nice these people really are.

Two years ago, Jamie was diagnosed with breast cancer. I have watched how they have navigated through that process as a tight knit family. That was a major strain on them. After a lot of treatment and a handful of surgeries, Jamie is cancer free today. Now this happens. They deserve a break.

I want to help them as much as I can, but I don't have tons of money to help. That's where we all come in. If you can offer any type of donation, it would mean the world to me, and I am sure to them, too. Even if you aren't in a position to donate, please share this with your friends. I have watched these people do so much good for the community and now they need help. They are too proud to ask, but I am not. Please consider helping the Jones family if you are able.
