Loss of Jakab Family Home & Family Pet

On the heels of a devastating house fire on 14 April, the Jakab Family (Tibor, Michele, Abby, and Ginger) are facing the unimaginable. While we are incredibly grateful that the family is safe, the fire claimed their home, their belongings, and most heartbreakingly, the life of their beloved dog, Ginger.

Ginger was more than just a pet; she wasnpartnof the definition of home while being a constant source of joy. As the family begins the long road to recovery, we are coming together to honor Ginger’s memory and provide the support they need to rebuild.

How Your Donations Will Help

The road to restoration is complex. While insurance covers certain aspects of a disaster, there are many immediate and "hidden" costs that fall through the cracks. Your contributions will be used for:

• Essential Home Repairs: Addressing structural and interior damage not fully covered by policies.

• Immediate Needs: Replacing clothing, food, and daily essentials lost in the fire.

• Ginger’s Legacy: In honor of Ginger’s life, any funds remaining after the family’s home and recovery needs are met will be donated directly to local animal shelters and animal welfare causes.

Lastly, personally I want to Thank you all so much as I write this in third person, but this hit us all so hard. Ginger was my dog too, and she was part of what made that now non Habitable house; “home”. We appreciate everyone and ask to keep us in your prayers and thoughts during these tough times.
