Our good friend Peter Hillis has recently been the victim of a fatal accident. Komang, Simon and Toby are so grateful for the outpouring of love and kindness from their Rossland Community and from their friends and family around the world.
We  have established this fund for those who would like to contribute to their support as they navigate this difficult transition . Let's come together to support this active loving family.

In Memoriam

Peter Turnbull Hillis was born on December 12, 1959 in Ingersoll, Ontario. He passed away with his family by his side after a tragic vehicle accident May 10, 2021 in Rossland, British Columbia. 

Peter is survived by his wife Komang Suartini-Hillis, and two sons, Simon [Hollie] and Toby, his parents Don and Jean Hillis, his older sister Jennifer Hillis, and Komang’s family Luh Swastini, Kadek Suarcani, Ketut Ari Sudana,  Ketut Rasmnini, Thomas Babatz, and Berni Koertling. 

Peter is predeceased by his brother Michael Hillis. 

Peter was a devoted father and husband, enabling both boys to be exemplary athletes, and he enjoyed an active life with his wife, Komang. He was an exceptional carpenter, constant renovator, and the friend you could call, anytime, for information and advice. Peter loved music, picking huckleberries, camping, hiking, fixing stuff, and building beautiful spaces.
