On Sunday, March 29, 2026, David Heard and his daughter were involved in a devastating accident on their way to the S.O.T.O. Spring Meet in Carmichael. Their vintage VW bus was rear-ended at high speed on the highway, causing the vehicle to roll and slide a long way. Dave sustained serious injuries and is currently in the ICU, and his daughter is also receiving medical care. This sudden tragedy has left the family facing overwhelming medical expenses, time away from work, and an uncertain road to recovery.
