The Guerra Family—Axel, Niki, and their four-year-old son Max—are some of the most caring and generous people you could ever meet. Married in 2019, Axel and Niki have built a life centered on love, kindness, and unwavering support for each other and those around them. Anyone who knows them can attest to their warmth and the positive impact they have on everyone they meet.

In 2023, Axel was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, a diagnosis that brought unexpected challenges to their lives. After bravely undergoing treatment and reaching remission, his cancer unfortunately returned last year. Shortly after that, they moved cross country back to Carlsbad to be closer to family and friends. Axel has faced chemotherapy and immunotherapy with incredible courage, and through it all, Niki has been by his side every step of the way. As a dedicated nurse, Niki has balanced her demanding job with caring for Axel not just at home, but also driving him to LA for appointments and treatments, all while continuing to provide Max with a home that is filled with love, warmth, and hope.

Niki, Axel, and Max have shown remarkable resilience and positivity and they have been so grateful for the well wishes and unwavering support of their family and friends.
