Support for the Groce Family
On July 30, 2021, Chano Groce suffered a fatal heart attack leaving behind his beloved wife Vilma and their four children and niece: Christian (27), Chantel (17, niece), Chad (10), Chase (10), and Chanel (6). Chano was a family man who could often be found playing basketball and football with his kids and surprising his wife with a bouquet of white roses. Vilma and the kids face many challenges ahead. Fellow families from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Clear Lake Presbyterian Church, and Falcon Pass Elm. communities are hoping to ease some of this financial burden by raising funds to help offset some of the costs from the hospital, funeral, and overall living expenses (rent, utilities, school supplies, etc.), while they grieve and adjust to their new lives without their husband, father, and main provider.
A MealTrain+ has also been arranged to help provide meals, groceries, babysitting, etc. If you are interested in contributing a meal or helping in other ways, please contact Roberta Swindull at [phone redacted].
For those interested in attending memorial services, they will be held Wednesday, August 4, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 1802 Gunwale Rd., Houston 77062.
